Devon Fall

Devon Falls, fondly known as the "Veil of the Valley," is a spectacular tiered waterfall located about 6 km west of Talawakele in Sri Lanka’s Nuwara Eliya District. From an elevation of roughly 1,140–1,150 m, it plunges 97 m in three graceful drops, making it one of the island’s top‑20 tallest waterfalls. You can admire this dramatic cascade from conveniently placed observation platforms beside the A7 highway, offering postcard-perfect views framed by lush tea plantations. The falls are formed by a tributary of the Kothmale Oya, which eventually feeds into the Mahaweli River.
