About This Tour

Day 1 begins with your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, followed by a scenic drive up the western coast to Kalpitiya, where palm-fringed shores meet tranquil waters and you spend a relaxed afternoon by Kalpitiya Lagoon enjoying optional kitesurfing, kayaking, or simply unwinding by the water at sunset; Day 2 takes you inland to Wilpattu National Park, the country’s largest wildlife reserve, where you embark on a full-day jeep safari through forests and natural lakes in search of leopards, sloth bears, elephants, and abundant birdlife before retiring to a nearby lodge; Day 3 continues east into the Cultural Triangle around Dambulla with an immersive village tour featuring a bullock-cart ride and a traditional home-cooked meal, followed by an afternoon climb up the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, famed for its frescoes, water gardens, and sweeping summit views; Day 4 leads south through tea-covered hills to Kandy, where you begin with a fragrant spice walk, explore the renowned Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya, and visit the sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in the evening; Day 5 takes you on a long but scenic journey across the highlands to Arugam Bay on the east coast, where you settle into beachfront accommodation and spend the day relaxing on golden sands, watching surfers, and enjoying fresh seafood by the ocean; Day 6 remains in Arugam Bay with an early safari in Kumana National Park, known for its rich birdlife and elephants, followed by an afternoon hike up Crocodile Rock for sweeping coastal views and a memorable sunset; Day 7 concludes with a scenic drive south to Galle, where you explore the cobbled streets and ramparts of the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort before continuing along the coast back to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight.
