About This Tour

Day 1 begins with your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, followed by a transfer to Colombo where you settle in and enjoy a guided city tour of the bustling capital, taking in colonial-era landmarks, the seaside promenade at Galle Face Green, and the eclectic Gangaramaya Temple, known for its blend of Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian, and Chinese influences; Day 2 takes you north into the Cultural Triangle to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, where you climb the legendary 5th-century citadel, admiring its frescoes, water gardens, and summit ruins, before continuing to Dambulla for an immersive village tour featuring traditional rural life and a home-cooked meal; Day 3 continues south to Kandy, where you explore the lush Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya, enjoy a fragrant spice walk, and visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, ending the day with a vibrant Kandyan dance performance; Day 4 climbs into the cool highlands to Nuwara Eliya, beginning with an early hike through Horton Plains National Park to the dramatic viewpoint at World’s End, followed by a relaxed exploration of the colonial-era town and a visit to Gregory Lake; Day 5 brings the scenic train journey through tea country to Ella, where you visit a working tea factory to learn about Ceylon tea production before heading to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge to watch a passing train; Day 6 descends toward the southern plains with a stop at Kirinda Temple overlooking the ocean, followed by an exciting safari in Yala National Park in search of leopards, elephants, and birdlife; Day 7 continues west along the coast to Mirissa, where you take in panoramic ocean views from Coconut Tree Hill and relax at Weligama Bay with a swim or surf session while spotting traditional stilt fishermen, before concluding your journey with a transfer back to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
