Tangalle Beach & Goyambokka

Miles of open sand broken into coves by rocky points — Goyambokka and Silent Beach are the sheltered ones where swimming is safe, while the long Medaketiya stretch has a strong undertow and is better walked than swum. Tangalle's appeal is space: at any hour you can find a hundred metres of beach with nobody on it.
