Hiriketiya Bay

A near-perfect horseshoe of jungle-backed sand with a gentle beach break on the right for learners and a sharper left off the point for everyone else. In ten years it has gone from a fishing cove to the south's most-photographed bay, and the lane behind it now holds more good coffee and yoga than anywhere outside Colombo — but the water is still the point.
