Jaffna Fort

Jaffna Fort, located in the heart of Jaffna city, is one of the largest and most historically significant forts in Sri Lanka. Originally built by the Portuguese in 1618 and later expanded by the Dutch after they captured it in 1658, the fort showcases impressive European military architecture with massive ramparts, bastions, and a star-shaped layout.
