Koggala Stilt Fishermen

The image on every Sri Lanka poster, and worth being honest about: most of the men on the poles today are posing for cameras rather than fishing, and they will ask for a fee. Real stilt fishing does still happen at first light on a few stretches between Koggala and Ahangama. Go at six, pay willingly, and skip the midday performance.
