Dambatenne Tea Factory

Built by Lipton in 1890 and still running on much of the original machinery — the withering troughs, the rollers, the sorting mesh. Because it is a working factory rather than a visitor centre, the tour is loud, hot and genuinely instructive. Closed Sundays, which catches a lot of itineraries out.
